Tuality Healthcare and Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) opened a new cancer center at Tuality Community Hospital in Hillsboro, Oregon. The Center provides patients with radiation oncology state-of-the-art technology and expert oncology care closer to home. The $3 million community-based Center is located in an 8,500-square-foot facility which includes physician offices, treatment planning and simulation facilities.
The Tuality-OHSU Cancer Center provides oncology services to a population of about 250,000. The Center rounds out Tuality’s existing surgery and chemotherapy services. Onsite state-of-the-art equipment includes a dual energy linear accelerator, a computed tomography scanner to facilitate treatment simulation and planning, and a computer system to develop three-dimensional or intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) treatment plans.
