Swedish Cancer Institute
Patient-Focused Personalized Care
Swedish opened the first cancer-care center west of the Mississippi in 1932. More than 70 years later, the Swedish Cancer Institute in Seattle has grown into the Northwest’s largest cancer-care program, offering patients a wide range of oncology services.
Patients receive personalized cancer care while having access to leading oncology specialists, a vast range of treatment options, as well as state-of-the-art equipment and comprehensive services. Services range from prevention, screening, and early detection to complementary therapies and palliative care. The Swedish Cancer Institute outpatient facility features the latest medical treatment and radiation technology including IGRT.
“The Pritchard Group (PRITCHARD), formerly ELM Services, Inc. Consulting has provided Swedish Cancer Institute with consulting services on several occasions. Most recently, PRITCHARD experts were asked to review our coding and billing practices for medical and radiation oncology including documentation. As a result of this engagement, we established uniform definitions for our outpatient clinic including consistent E&M coding for our nurses and physicians. Pritchard consultants provided expertise in appropriate coding and billing procedures as well as provided education for our staff. They were knowledgeable and thorough, enabling us to do a better job of maximizing charge capture and reimbursement.”
