Ms. Bowers has introduced strategic and tactical solutions that improve competitive performance while increasing revenue and profits for providers and industry. She is a recognized expert in helping hospitals and physician practices build for the future and improve their bottom line—all in an effort to improve patient access to quality care. She is a frequent speaker at national and regional meetings on a broad range of topics: healthcare trends, collaborative partnerships, strategically growing product lines, feasibility of new services, business drivers in the healthcare marketplace, fundraising, alignment and win-win physician and hospital relationships, practice efficiency, billing and coding, and reimbursement issues in healthcare.
Ms. Bowers helped hospitals across the country prepare for implementation of the ambulatory payment classification (APC) system. She is considered a leading expert on the financial impact of changing healthcare regulations on hospitals, centers, providers, and industry. She has led efforts for a national client base on such projects as cancer center facility development, managed care contract reviews and negotiation, marketing, physician and integrated delivery system networking, managed service organization design and implementation, and comprehensive reviews of hospital and center billing and coding and operations management.
Recently, Ms. Bowers assisted hospitals and healthcare clients with development of business and financial plans, assessment of existing and expansion of future product lines to increase volumes and revenue, as well as serving their local community, developing programs such as prevention, feasibility assessment of the addition of diagnostic centers, all in an effort to retain and grow market share. She understands the regulatory language and implications and can translate the requirements into practical language to assist clients in making strategic business decisions.
